With a Master of Music degree from Southern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Music (piano performance) from Pacific Lutheran University, she currently serves as an Associate in Ministry at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, ELCA, in Port Angeles, as Minister of Worship Arts. Previously, she directed the Community Chorus in Port Angeles, and, while living in the MidSouth, she directed the Bartlett Community Chorus and Cumberland Presbyterian Choral Society. She also sang with the Rhodes Mastersingers, a semi professional ensemble, while in the Memphis area. Ms. Lingerfelt performed as soloist with the Port Angeles Chamber Symphony, playing the Bach's Keyboard Concerto No. 1 in D Minor with the Chamber Players, and the Schubert Fantasy in F for Piano Four-Hands with the symphony director Adam Stern. In addition to the work in the Church and with the NWWChorale, she has been the pianist for the Peninsula Men's Gospel Singers since 2002. She has adjudicated various events including solo-ensemble contests, Port Angeles Symphony Scholarship contest and for Monday Musicale Scholarship. A member of the American Choral Director's Association and the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians, Ms. Lingerfelt is always on the lookout for innovative, well-crafted music that resonates both with the soul and the intellect! Well, that, and a distinct passion for exploring distant lands and fine wines keeps her quite busy. |
